The Sparta Bucks program is an approach at encouraging people to shop local. The gift certificates can be redeemed at over 20 Sparta businesses, making them valuable for shoppers! This program has been very effective. Since last October, $28,445 worth of Sparta Bucks were issued and $27,035 worth of Sparta Bucks were redeemed! This highlights how the certificates have flowed right back into the local economy not long after being issued.
Through the incredible generosity of the Sparta Community Foundation, we have had many opportunities to give away Sparta Bucks, most notably through the Buy One Get One deal that took place last fall. The deal was very popular, and we sold out quickly after opening! In addition to the BOGO, we also have given away a large number of Sparta Bucks throughout the year. The giveaways have introduced a large number of people to the Sparta Bucks program and has also encouraged them to spend money locally. These giveaways are only made possible through the support of the Sparta Community Foundation. We are truly grateful for their generosity and partnership in this program!
