Sparta Business Expo

March 5, 2011 @ Sparta High School

The perfect place to meet new businesses in town, see what local project are taking place, learn about the upcoming events of local organizations, walk away with coupons & free-bee give-aways, and, of course, win prizes!  The showcase of the community in a one day extravaganza at Sparta High School.  Get out of the winter blues and into the fun of the Sparta Business Expo!

 

Easter Egg Hunt

Held in April at Ridgeview or Appleview Elementary!  100′s of kids take to the candy scavenger hunt, egg hunt, and time to meet the Easter Bunny on this fun morning.  This event is held by the North Kent Eagles Auxiliary.  More details to come!

Pink Dress Run…Walk…Crawl (However you do it, do it for the cure!)
Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend

Don’t have a Pink Dress to wear? Find something pink and prepare for an afternoon of Fundraising as participants visit local bars and restaurants to raise money for the Sparta Relay for Life on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend starting at Noon. With raffles, drink specials, food specials, and contests, this is a  memorable event you do not want to miss!  Over the last several years, the Pink Dress Run fundraiser has raised over $35,000.

 

 

 

Relay for Life
Second Weekend in June

The American Cancer Society is proud to announce the Third Annual Relay For Life of Sparta! This unique 24 hour event will take place June at the Sparta High School Track. Concerts in the Park 2011!
Wednesday Evenings all Summer!

Rogers ParkWednesday evenings in June, July, & August in the beautifully renovated Rogers Park, the Sparta Chamber of Commerce features a variety of musical groups with activities for children of all ages!  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of free entertainment for the entire family.

These free family events are sponsored by local businesses and the Downtown Development Authority.  Be sure to stop by our sponsors to thank them for bringing enjoyable evenings in Rogers Park!

 

 

Sparta Farmers Market
Wednesday Evenings

Wednesday evening’s beginning in June in downtown Sparta. Support local growers and eat fresh foods! Every Wednesday from 2:00pm to 6:00 pm from June thru September.  Find the Market at 72 N. Union with the Live Music from Concerts in the Park, family activities, and more!

Sparta Town & Country Days
July 11 – 15, 2012!

Town & Country Days, a week long festival held each July draws visitors throughout West Michigan for a carnival, tons of live entertainment, kids activities and food! Harvest On The Ridge

Festival celebrating the Harvest Season with Sparta Area Farm Market Tours, Art Contests, Food Events, and much more!  This inspirational event is brought to the community to celebrate our Agricultural heritage and to educate our youth about “where” our food comes from.  With fun games, food, and celebrations, join us to celebrate what is produced locally.  There are many free and fun family activities throughout the day!

Hometown Christmas Shopping Event

Join in on the Friday before Thanksgiving for a hometown shopping experience of strolling through downtown, the horse and carriage rolling by, shoppers bustling to the shops on Main Street.  This traditional Christmas shopping event is the perfect place to make the most of the 3/50 challenge in Sparta: to spend $50 in three hometown businesses on Christmas Gifts that you don’t want to see out of business.  Take the Challenge with us!
