Sparta’s Old Fashioned Christmas is a month full of memories and experiences for the whole family. Check out the dates below to see when Santa will be in town taking visitors at his house, the Supper with Santa, or the Shop Sparta Event festivities which include trolley rides and fantastic sales!
Some changes this year include the Santa Parade, which is retired due to changes in ownership by the railroad. Replacing the Santa Parade in Sparta, we are having a Shop Sparta Event on December 1st!
Sparta is full of tradition, whcih includes our traditional Chrismtas events through town. These events are hosted and sponsored by the Sparta Downtown Development Authority and the Sparta Chamber of Commerce, making Sparta truely “What a Neighborhood Should Be.”

Want to help local families in need ? Santa Cops, the local Sparta Police Department volunteers, and collecting donations to take deserving kids, families, and senior citizens shopping at local businesses this holiday season. Sparta Police Officers will arrange atake them shopping for needs such as clothing, food, toiletries, and other necessities at local businesses. Monetary donations for deserving children, families, & senior citizens in the Sparta Area can be donated to the Sparta Village Office, Mombers Pharmacy, Sparta Police Dept., ChoiceOne Bank, Independent Bank, & Rogue River Credit Union now through December 15, 2012.
