Turkey Trot Gobbling Up Runners

The 1st annual Turkey Trot in Sparta is becoming as popular as squash at Thanksgiving. Why all the interest? This Turkey Trot is only $10 per person, benefits the local Sparta Rugby Club, and close to home. Runners are tying up their shoes in anticipation of this 5K that is being sponsored by volunteers in the community. Registration and information can be obtained through The Club Fitness & Tanning (P 616-887-1116) located on S. State Street.
Registration starts at 8 am at Sparta Civic Center (75 N. Union St., Sparta). Cost: $10. Participants receive a t-shirt. Cross country timing. All proceeds will benefit the Sparta Rugby Club.
